On a scale of 1-10 on horribleness the leafs are 1,000,000. They lost 6-2 to Buffalo, the worst team in the league. They also lost 9-2 to Nashville that is so sad that it made Chuck Norris cry. Phaneuf is such a waste of money. He lets at least one bad goal a game. He also gets 6.5 million a year, I would not even pay a 1 dollar for Phaneuf. It is not just the players that are bad it is also the scouts. They haven't one a Stanley Cup in 47 years and jugging by there team now they are probably not going to win one any time soon. Overall the leafs are very bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hockey Night in Canada has got a new $4.5-million studio. It will make it's debut on October 8th. The studio is located on the 10th floor of the CBC broadcast center in down town Toronto. The space was designed by Jack Morton. Jack Morton works for a company called PDG. PDG created sets for the 2010 Vancouver winter Olympic games and also the 2012 London summer Olympic games. So it should be a good set. Can't wait to see it live.
The Ottawa Senators signed Bobby Ryan to a $50.75 million, seven-year contract on Friday. This is very good for the sens because this guy is an absolute beast. He is 6 feet and 209 lbs. He doesn't just have good physical size but he has also got talent. In his last regular season he scored 23 goals and had 25 assists. I think Ryan will be a good addition to the team. He has got the size, he has got the talent, all he has to do is make it happen. The sens are going to have a good next 7 years.
Jordan Staal broke his leg in a pre-season game agensed the Buffalo Sabers. Doctors say he will need surgery and miss three to four months. I think Jordan Staal will recover and his carer will be fine but the hurricanes will have a tough time making the playoffs. The hurricanes already aren't the best team around, without Staal the screwed. Even when Staal does come back it will take a lot of practices to get him back to the point he was at.
6 foot 3 213 pounds, I would not want to be any where near the puck when Aaron Ekblad is on the ice. This year Aaron Ekblad was the number 1 draft pick and was drafted onto the Florida panthers. He was also the captain of Barrie colts, an OHL team and he was on the u-18 team Canada. I think Aaron Ekblad will have great success in the future and maybe even be one of the best players in the National Hockey League.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have a new secret weapon this year. The Russian goalie Andrey Vasilevskiy. Last year he played in the KHL and his save average was .934. He was also on the U-18 Russian team. In the tournament he had one shut out. Not a bad resume but he is going to need to up his game this year because the NHL is a whole new level of competition.
Welcome to my blog. We will be discussing everything about hockey.
